ISO 14001 - Environmental Management System
Health Safety & Environment
ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized standard. It was discussed in Rio Summit on the Environment held in 1992 and was published in 1996.
Environmental Management System (EMS) Standard is a comprehensive framework which keeps an eye on environmental impacts caused by an organization's products or services, whether the impact is immediate, short term or long term.
ISO 14001:2015 and its supporting standards such as ISO 14006:2011 focus on environmental systems to achieve this. The other standards in the family focus on specific approaches such as audits, communications, labeling and life cycle analysis, as well as environmental challenges such as climate change.
