ISO 13053 is an international standard that describes Six Sigma Methodology which is used for improving business processes in an organization. Process Variations often result in defects, errors and waste abundance. The purpose of ISO 13053 is to pin point those variations by using statistical approach to minimize error rate and maximize quality performance.
Six Sigma Methodology is also used to improve existing business processes through Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC Methodology) mechanism. For the development of new services, product or process DMADV (Define, Measuer, Analyze Design and Verify) approach is also used.
