It maps out what an organization needs to do to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards in order to ensure that food is safe. It can be used by any organization regardless of its size or position in the food chain.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>International Standards provide a reference framework, or a common technological language, between suppliers and their customers - which facilitates trade and the transfer of technology. <b>ISO 22000:2005<\/b> is an international standard related to Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) which focuses on the total food chain \u2013 farming, processing, manufacturing, wholesale, retail food service and also on the interested parties \u2013 customers, suppliers, public authorities, etc...<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3>FSMS Benefits<\/h3>\r\n<p>FSMS is being adopted by many food chain industries to analyze, identify critical controls and establish measures to prevent potential hazards associated with a food \u2013 be it biological or physical.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>With emerging challenges in the food industry, many organizations are adopting food safety system on a wider basis. There also is increasing public health concern about chemical contamination of food.
